The Browning 1911-22 is a suppressor-ready .22 LR pistol built on the proven 1911 platform, scaled down for precision shooting, training, and recreational use. If you're after a reliable .22 handgun that mirrors full-size 1911 ergonomics—or want a shooter-friendly complement to centerfire carry guns—this rail-equipped model delivers familiar controls and handling in a lightweight, manageable package. The single-action trigger, white dot sights, and G-10 grips make this a shooter's gun from the box, while the suppressor-ready barrel opens up options for quieter practice sessions or backyard plinking.
At just 14 ounces and 7.875 inches overall, the 1911-22 is nimble enough for casual range days or extended trigger time without fatigue. The matte finish resists glare and wears like a workhorse, and the 4.875-inch barrel balances accuracy with portability. The 10-round magazine capacity makes reloads quick during rapid-fire drills, and the integrated rail lets you mount a laser, light, or optic if your mission demands it. Whether you're teaching newcomers the finer points of 1911 operation, running transition drills between centerfire pistols, or just enjoying low-recoil accuracy, this Browning delivers honest performance without the noise of full-power cartridges.
Browning's reputation for quality translates well to this rimfire package. The 1911-22 respects the classic design while keeping things simple: no unnecessary complexity, no gimmicks, just a straightforward single-action .22 that handles like a real gun should. If you're stacking a training or backup .22 into your shooting rotation, this one's worth serious consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Browning 1911-22 compatible with .22 LR ammunition only?
Yes, this pistol is chambered exclusively in .22 LR. Do not attempt to fire other cartridges.
Can I mount a suppressor on this pistol?
The barrel is suppressor-ready, meaning it's threaded to accept a suppressor. Check local and federal regulations before purchasing or using a suppressor.
What kind of optic or accessory can the rail support?
The integrated Picatinny rail allows you to mount standard rail-compatible accessories such as red dot sights, lasers, or tactical lights. Ensure any accessory you choose is rated for the .22 LR cartridge.
Is this a good training pistol for someone who shoots a full-size 1911?
Yes. The 1911-22 shares the same controls, ergonomics, and manual of arms as centerfire 1911 models, making it an excellent training and transition tool. It also offers low recoil for extended practice sessions with minimal wear on the shooter.
