The Bond Arms Texan is a stainless steel double-barrel pistol built for shooters who want serious stopping power in a compact, unique platform. Chambered in .45 LC/.410 bore, this 6-inch barrel derringer combines the versatility of two calibers in one fixed-barrel design—load it with .45 Colt rounds for target work and hunting, or .410 shot shells (up to 3-inch) for close-range defense or small game. It's the kind of specialized sidearm that appeals to hunters, backup gun enthusiasts, and collectors who appreciate American-made attitude and honest engineering.

The Texan's extended rosewood grip isn't just ergonomic; it features a custom-engraved outline of Texas with a star and decorative snakes, making this pistol as much a conversation piece as a working tool. At 23.5 ounces and 8 inches overall length, it strikes a balance between heft (good for recoil management) and pocketability. The all-stainless steel construction handles the pressures of both calibers without flinching, and the gun's patented rebounding hammer and retracting firing pins add safety layers that matter in the field or at the range.

Like all Bond Arms pistols, the Texan accepts the full catalog of interchangeable barrels—switch calibers by swapping the barrel assembly and choosing your ammunition, giving you genuine multi-caliber flexibility without buying a second gun. The automatic spent casing extractor kicks brass when you flip it open, the cross-bolt safety keeps things secure in the holster, and the spring-loaded cammed locking lever locks the barrel down tight. Front blade and fixed rear sights keep things simple and snag-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use different calibers in each barrel?

Yes. The Texan is a .45 LC/.410 bore double barrel, so you can load .45 Colt in one barrel and a .410 shot shell in the other, giving you flexibility to choose your round type on the fly.

What's the maximum shot shell length the Texan handles?

The Texan is chambered for up to 3-inch .410 shot shells, so you have solid shell options without needing to size down to shorter loads.

Can I swap barrels on the Texan to shoot other calibers?

Yes. The Texan is compatible with all standard Bond Arms barrels, so you can purchase additional barrel assemblies to expand your caliber options.

Is the grip custom-engraved, or does it come plain?

The Texan comes standard with an extended rosewood grip featuring a custom-engraved outline of Texas with a star and decorative snakes—that's the factory finish for this model.
