The Bergara Premier BPR26-308 Canyon is a lightweight hunting rifle built for shooters who want the handling and balance of a classic field gun without the heft. This 20-inch .308 rifle combines a carbon fiber stock with a modern action and TriggerTech trigger, delivering the performance of a custom build at production efficiency prices. If you're glassing miles of country or stalking through brush, the Canyon's 6.2-pound package gets you there without wearing you down.
At the heart of the Canyon sits Bergara's proprietary PREMIER action—a two-lug design with a separate floating bolt head, cone-shaped nose for smooth feeding, and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor. The stainless steel barrel comes from Bergara's own facility in Spain with a proprietary honing process, then receives a Sniper Grey Cerakote finish and the 5/8-24 threaded Omni muzzle brake to manage recoil when you're slinging .308 downrange. The No. 4 fluted barrel profile helps shed weight while keeping rigidity where it matters.
The stock is pure 100% carbon fiber from AG Composites—no wood, no compromise on durability or weight. The barrel floats freely in the channel, and the M5 floor plate system lets you choose between a detachable AICS-pattern magazine or a hinged floor plate. The two-position safety is integrated into the TriggerTech Frictionless Release trigger assembly, and the design even lets you unload the rifle while it's on safe. All business, zero fuss.

Frequently Asked Questions
What magazines does the Bergara Premier Canyon use?
The rifle accepts AICS-style detachable magazines via the M5 floor plate system. It ships with a 3-round magazine, and 5-round magazines are available separately. You can also use a hinged floor plate if you prefer that setup.
Will this rifle take standard Remington 700 scope bases?
Yes. The Canyon is pre-drilled for Remington 700 bases using 8-40 screws, so you can mount any standard Rem 700 base system without gunsmithing.
Is the muzzle brake included?
The Omni muzzle brake is threaded directly to the barrel (5/8-24) and comes installed on the rifle.
How light is this rifle compared to traditional hunting rifles?
At 6.2 pounds with the 20-inch barrel, the Canyon is significantly lighter than most conventional hunting rifles, thanks to the 100% carbon fiber stock and fluted barrel profile. This makes it an excellent choice for hunters who cover long distances on foot.
