The Bergara B-14 Timber rifle in .308 Win is a Spanish-made hunting rifle built on the principle that quality shouldn't require a custom-shop price tag. Bergara spent decades honing their reputation in the high-end custom rifle market, and the B-14 Timber brings that same craftsmanship ethos to a production rifle designed for serious hunters who expect accuracy and reliability without compromise. With a 22-inch barrel, sleek walnut furniture, and a 4-round magazine capacity, this is a rifle that works equally well glassing hillsides or connecting downrange.
The B-14 action is where Bergara's Spanish manufacturing philosophy shines. The two-lug design employs a coned bolt nose and breech system that ensures smooth feeding and extraction every time, while the sliding plate extractor won't surprise you on the brass. The trigger is Bergara's own curved design, set at approximately three pounds for a crisp, predictable break. Unlike budget production rifles that cut corners on controls, this one handles like it costs twice the money. The 4140 CrMo steel barrel wears a Graphite Black Cerakote finish that resists weather and abuse, and it's threaded into a receiver that's been drilled and tapped for standard Remington 700 bases—meaning you have endless scope mounting options without guessing games or gunsmithing.
The Monte Carlo walnut stock is both functional and handsome, with a raised comb and cheek piece that support consistent sight picture. Beneath that wood lie epoxy-filled pillars that anchor the action screws and lock the whole assembly into rock-solid stability. The hinged floor plate keeps things tidy and allows quick magazine changes, and the rifle runs about 7.3–7.6 pounds depending on configuration—light enough to carry all day without being featherweight. If you hunt big game and refuse to compromise on how your rifle feels and shoots, the B-14 Timber deserves a serious look.
