The Auto Ordnance 1927A-1 Deluxe .45 ACP semi-auto carbine is a civilian-legal take on an American icon. Built to evoke the legendary Tommy gun, this semi-auto rifle captures the look and handling characteristics of the original while delivering reliable .45 ACP performance without the full-auto capability. The Model T1CH features a rich case-hardened brown finish with a clear protective coat, walnut furniture, and the distinctive profile serious shooters and collectors recognize instantly. At 13 pounds and 41 inches overall, it's substantial enough to shoot straight but manageable enough for practical use at the range or in the field.

The 16.5-inch finned barrel (18 inches with the compensator) is a signature design element that aids cooling and handling. You get honest open sights—a blade front and adjustable rear—so the gun is ready to shoot right out of the box without requiring modern optics to be effective. The fixed walnut stock and vertical foregrip deliver period-correct ergonomics and a natural shooting platform that rewards proper technique. One 20-round stick magazine comes with the carbine, giving you solid capacity for recreational shooting, training, or sport use.

This isn't a bargain-basement repro; the Deluxe model shows real attention to finish and detail. The case-hardened treatment isn't just cosmetic—it's a nod to original manufacturing methods. If you're drawn to .45 ACP rifles, appreciate American firearms history, or simply want a fun, reliable semi-auto that turns heads at the range, the 1927A-1 Deluxe delivers character and functionality in one package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 1927A-1 Deluxe a fully automatic gun?

No. The Auto Ordnance 1927A-1 is a semi-automatic carbine—one shot per trigger pull. It's federally legal for civilian purchase without NFA registration or licensing.

What's included in the box?

The carbine ships with one 20-round stick magazine ready to load and shoot. Additional magazines in the same caliber are readily available from third-party suppliers.

Can I use the 1927A-1 for hunting?

.45 ACP is a proven defensive and sport round, and the open sights and handling make the carbine suitable for certain hunting scenarios. Shot placement and local game laws determine legality and ethics; verify your state's regulations before hunting.

Does the compensator come attached?

The barrel is 16.5 inches as delivered. The specification notes a compensator option that brings total length to 18 inches, but confirm with the retailer whether it's included or sold separately on your specific unit.
