The Auto Ordnance 1927A-1 Deluxe .45 ACP semi-auto carbine brings authentic Thompson submachine gun heritage to the modern shooter in a legal, civilian-friendly platform. This Model T1D version pairs classic aesthetics with practical functionality—ideal for collectors who appreciate historical firearms, sport shooters exploring a unique caliber and handling experience, and anyone drawn to the iconic profile of a Thompson-style carbine. The 16.5-inch finned barrel and compensator deliver that unmistakable vintage look while the genuine American walnut furniture and classic brown finish give this .45 ACP semi-auto genuine character without pretense.

Built on a foundation of machined steel and aluminum components, the 1927A-1 Deluxe balances durability with manageable weight at 13 pounds. The semi-automatic action and 10-round magazine capacity make it straightforward to operate and comply with modern regulations, while the blade front sight and adjustable rear sight setup provides the kind of sighting system shooters have relied on for generations. Whether you're working up loads at the bench, enjoying a day at the range, or simply appreciating a piece of firearms history, this carbine handles the .45 ACP with the solid, substantial feel the cartridge deserves.

The Deluxe designation reflects the attention to detail—from the walnut grip and furniture to the machined receiver work. This isn't a stripped-down utility gun; it's built for shooters who value both form and function, who recognize the appeal of a Thompson-pattern firearm, and who want a semi-auto .45 that actually looks like something worth owning. The 41-inch overall length keeps it reasonably handy, and the balance of steel and aluminum construction keeps recoil and fatigue manageable during extended shooting sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this different from the standard 1927A-1?

This Deluxe version, Model T1D, is Auto Ordnance's premium offering in the 1927A-1 line. The designation reflects higher-quality machining, walnut furniture, and a classic brown finish—details that matter if you're building a collection or want a carbine with genuine character. The core specifications and semi-automatic action are consistent with the platform.

Is this a good .45 ACP semi-auto for the range?

Yes. The 16.5-inch barrel, finned design, and compensator provide solid handling characteristics for the .45 ACP cartridge, and the adjustable rear sight lets you dial in your setup. At 13 pounds, the weight helps manage recoil, making it pleasant to shoot for extended sessions. The 10-round magazine keeps ammunition costs reasonable compared to higher-capacity centerfire options.

Does this come with magazines?

The specifications confirm a 10-round magazine capacity, but the facts provided do not detail what's included in the box. Contact us directly to confirm what magazines and accessories ship with your purchase.

What's the overall length and will it fit my safe?

The 1927A-1 Deluxe measures 41 inches overall, which is manageable for most gun safes and storage solutions designed for carbines. Verify your safe's interior dimensions to be certain, especially if space is tight.
