The ATI Cavalry Youth 410 Gauge Over/Under Shotgun is purpose-built for young shooters learning the fundamentals of shotgun handling. This 26-inch break-action over/under delivers the classic two-barrel configuration in a lighter, more manageable platform—ideal for kids and smaller-framed hunters working up to larger gauges. The youth-sized stock keeps the gun proportional and comfortable for developing shooters, while the 410 gauge and 3-inch chamber offer modest recoil that won't discourage a beginner from spending time at the range or in the field.

Built on a steel receiver with 4140 chrome-moly barrels (chrome-plated inside and out), the Cavalry combines durability with straightforward reliability. The single selective trigger lets you choose which barrel fires first, and the extractor mechanism handles spent shells efficiently—no wrestling with ejectors when you're learning. A brass bead front sight keeps your point of aim simple and instinctive, which is exactly what new shooters need. The oil-finished walnut furniture gives the gun a traditional, trim appearance that young hunters will appreciate as they grow into their gear.

Choke tubes—Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full—come installed, so you can dial in your pattern for upland birds, clays, or whatever introduces your young shooter to shotgun sports. At 4.25 pounds, the gun won't tire small shoulders, and the engraved receiver adds a touch of pride to a first serious shotgun. This is honest, no-frills equipment for building good habits and confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this shotgun suitable for youth shooters?

The stock and forend are sized for younger and smaller-frame shooters, making the gun easier to mount and control. At 4.25 pounds and chambered in 410 gauge—the lightest and least punishing of common shotgun gauges—the Cavalry minimizes fatigue and recoil fatigue, letting kids focus on technique rather than flinching.

Can I use different choke tubes in this shotgun?

Yes. The Cavalry comes with five interchangeable choke tubes: Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full. You can swap them to adjust your pattern for different hunting scenarios or clay shooting disciplines.

Is this shotgun an ejector or extractor model?

This is an extractor model (GKOF410SVY). The extractor lifts spent shells out of the chamber when you open the action, but you manually remove them from the barrels—a simple, reliable system with fewer moving parts.

What's included with the shotgun?

The five choke tubes (Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full) are included. Always verify your specific purchase with the dealer for any additional accessories or documentation.
