The ATI Cavalry Over/Under Shotgun in .410 gauge is a lightweight, nimble break-action designed for shooters who value handling and versatility over raw power. With its 26-inch barrel and 3-inch chamber, this .410 O/U delivers the controls and sight picture of a traditional double-gun in a compact package that's easy to carry through brush or over open ground. At 4.25 pounds, it won't wear you out during a full day of upland hunting or clay work, and the single selective trigger lets you choose which barrel fires first—a feature usually found on guns at twice the price.

The Cavalry's steel receiver sports an engraved finish that sets it apart from plain-jane budget shotguns, while the 4140 chrome-moly barrels are chrome-plated inside and out for durability and easy cleaning. Walnut furniture—both stock and forend—is oil-finished for a classic look that ages well. The brass bead front sight is simple, effective, and quick to pick up in the field, and the included chokes (C, IC, M, IM, F) give you options to tighten or open your pattern depending on distance and target size.

This is a real shotgun for hunters and sport shooters who understand that .410 isn't a toy—it's a precision tool that demands accuracy and shot placement. The break-action design is fast to load, reliable, and straightforward to maintain, and extractors (not auto-ejectors) keep the gun simple and affordable without sacrificing function.

Frequently Asked Questions

What chokes come with the ATI Cavalry .410 O/U?

The gun ships with five choke tubes: Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full. This range lets you optimize your pattern from close-range upland work to tighter 40+ yard shooting, depending on your load and intended use.

Is the ATI Cavalry good for upland hunting or clay sports?

Yes. The 26-inch barrel, lightweight build, and quick single-trigger action make it well-suited to upland birds like quail, grouse, and woodcock. It's also used for clay target sports where a classic O/U profile is preferred. The .410 requires careful shot placement, so it's best matched to hunters and shooters comfortable with modest range and a smaller pattern.

Can this shotgun handle 3-inch .410 shells?

Yes, the 3-inch chamber accommodates both standard 2.5-inch and 3-inch .410 loads, giving you flexibility in ammunition selection.

What's the difference between extractors and auto-ejectors on this gun?

The Cavalry uses extractors, which raise the spent shells as you open the action so you can remove them by hand. Auto-ejectors would eject them completely on their own. Extractors are simpler, more reliable over a lifetime of use, and keep the gun affordable.
