Barrel Description:
10mm Vent Rib

The ATI Cavalry Sport over/under shotgun in .410 gauge brings lightweight, nimble handling to the clay range and upland field. Built on a true over/under platform with 28-inch barrels and a 10mm rib, this American Tactical Imports offering splits the difference between a traditional sidelock charm and practical modern shootability. The .410 makes it an excellent choice for younger shooters, beginners transitioning to shotgunning, or anyone who values reduced recoil and quick target acquisition without sacrificing the elegant lines of a proper double gun.

What sets the Cavalry Sport apart is its straightforward, no-nonsense design paired with 10mm ejectors. You get the proven reliability of the over/under action—stronger and more durable than side-by-sides in hard use—without the premium price tag that typically comes with European game guns. The wood furniture and classic profile appeal to shooters who want their shotgun to actually look like a shotgun, not a tactical accessory. At this price point, it's a gateway into the world of side-by-side barrel shotguns, whether you're patterning loads for upland birds or honing your wingshooting on clays.

The 28-inch barrel length is the sweet spot for the .410: long enough to generate decent velocity and pattern control, short enough to stay quick and handy in the brush or on the stand. The 10mm ejector system means spent hulls pop cleanly and automatically when you crack the action open—no fishing around in the breech. If you've been eyeing an over/under but thought they were out of reach, or you're building a collection and want a dedicated .410, the Cavalry Sport deserves serious consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the .410 over/under shotgun good for?

The .410 gauge is perfect for new shooters, younger hunters, or anyone wanting to practice and hunt with minimal recoil. The over/under action is stronger and more durable than a side-by-side, making it an excellent first shotgun or training platform on clays.

What does the 10mm ejector system do?

The 10mm ejectors automatically eject spent shells when you open the action, saving you the hassle of manually removing hulls and keeping you moving faster between shots.

Is 28 inches the right barrel length for a .410?

Yes. The 28-inch barrel on a .410 delivers good velocity and pattern control while keeping the gun nimble and quick-handling in brush or at the range. It's the standard choice for this gauge and action type.
