Barrel Description:
10mm Vent Rib

The ATI Cavalry 20-gauge over/under shotgun is a solid choice for sport shooters and hunters who want a traditional, reliable workhorse without the premium price tag. Built by American Tactical Imports, this 28-inch-barrel over/under brings honest engineering to clay courses, upland fields, and hunting situations where a 20-gauge makes sense. The sport ejector design throws empties clear after each shot, keeping you in rhythm whether you're running a course of fire or working through a morning in the field.

The 28-inch barrel strikes a practical balance for most shooting disciplines and game. The 10mm ventilated rib helps you track your sight picture from bead to target, a feature that matters whether you're swinging on roosters or breaking clays. This is a gun built to shoot, not to sit in a cabinet—it's straightforward, functional, and purpose-built for the action.

If you appreciate the over/under platform but don't need or want boutique branding, the Cavalry delivers the essentials: two barrels stacked vertically for a clean sight line, proven ejector mechanics, and wood furniture that'll only look better with use. The 20-gauge makes it friendlier on the shoulder than a 12 while still delivering effective patterns for most sport and field applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between an ejector and an extractor on a shotgun?

An ejector actively springs the spent shell out of the chamber after firing—you don't have to manually remove it. An extractor simply lifts the shell partway out so you can grab it. The Cavalry's sport ejector means faster handling and cleaner reloads, especially useful in clay shooting or fast-paced hunting scenarios.

Is a 20-gauge powerful enough for hunting?

Yes. A 20-gauge delivers effective patterns for upland birds and small game, with considerably less recoil than a 12-gauge. Many hunters prefer it for all-day comfort while maintaining reliable effectiveness in the field.

What does the 10mm rib do?

The ventilated rib is a sighting aid that helps you maintain a consistent sight picture from breech to muzzle. It also helps dissipate heat from the barrels during extended shooting sessions. The 10mm dimension is a common sport rib size that balances visibility with a sleek profile.

Is this gun suitable for clay target sports?

Yes. The 28-inch barrels, over/under configuration, and sport ejector system are all standard features on clay shotguns. The 20-gauge and practical rib setup make it well-suited to trap, skeet, or sporting clays.
