The Winchester SXP Youth Field 20-gauge shotgun is a purpose-built pump-action designed for younger and smaller-framed shooters who want a genuine hunting or sport-shooting gun without compromise. At just 5 lbs 14 oz with an 18-inch barrel and 12-inch length of pull, this 20ga delivers the handling and reduced recoil that help new shooters build confidence and marksmanship while staying comfortable behind the gun all day in the field.
Built on a hard-chrome-plated aluminum receiver with a satin-finished Grade I walnut stock, the SXP Youth Field carries Winchester's reputation for durability in a compact, manageable package. The 3-inch chamber accepts both 2¾-inch and 3-inch 20-gauge ammunition, giving you flexibility at the trap range or in the upland brush. Three Invector-Plus choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) let you dial in the shot pattern for your quarry, and the brass bead front sight keeps your focus on the target.
The included length-of-pull spacers mean this gun can grow with the shooter—add shim and the 12-inch pull adjusts to accommodate slightly longer frames without needing a different stock. A 5-round magazine capacity in 2¾-inch shells keeps you in the action, and the pump action is smooth and intuitive, making this an excellent first centerfire shotgun for youth hunters, small-framed adults, or anyone who benefits from a lighter, shorter gun.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this shotgun built for?
The Winchester SXP Youth Field is designed for youth hunters, young trap shooters, and smaller-framed adults—anyone who benefits from a lighter gun with a shorter stock. The 12-inch length of pull and 18-inch barrel make it more maneuverable and less punishing to shoot than full-size models, while the 20-gauge cartridge delivers less recoil than a 12-gauge.
Can I adjust the length of pull?
Yes. The gun ships with length-of-pull spacers that allow you to increase the pull beyond the standard 12 inches as the shooter grows, extending the useful life of the gun.
What ammunition does it shoot?
The SXP Youth Field has a 3-inch chamber, so it safely handles both standard 2¾-inch and 3-inch 20-gauge shells. Magazine capacity is 5 rounds of 2¾-inch ammunition.
What choke tubes come with this shotgun?
Three Invector-Plus choke tubes are included: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. These let you match your shot pattern to hunting conditions or clay-shooting disciplines.
