The Winchester XPR Hnt Strata is a bolt-action hunting rifle built for hunters who demand accuracy, reliability, and functional aesthetics in the field. Chambered in .300 WSM and topped with a 24-inch barrel, this rifle combines precision engineering with a practical, modern composite stock finished in TrueTimber Strata camouflage. The receiver and barrel wear a Flat Dark Earth Perma-Cote finish that resists corrosion and pairs well with a range of hunting environments. Whether you're glassing for mule deer across open country or setting up an ambush in timbered terrain, the XPR Hnt Strata is designed to help you make the shot when it matters.
Winchester engineered this rifle around real-world hunting needs. The free-floating, precision button-rifled barrel delivers the shot-to-shot consistency required for ethical long-range hunting, while the recessed target crown protects accuracy from field use. The M.O.A. trigger system is crisp and user-adjustable, letting you dial in the break weight that suits your hunting style. A two-position thumb safety keeps the rifle ready without accidental discharge, and the bolt unlock button makes for quick, intuitive operation when you need to eject an unfired round or clear the chamber.
The composite stock with Inflex Technology recoil pad absorbs the .300 WSM's kick without adding unnecessary weight, keeping the rifle nimble in your hands all day. The detachable box magazine means you're never fumbling with internal feeds when a second shot is required, and pre-installed sling swivel studs let you secure your favorite carry rig immediately. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope rings, so you can mount optics fast and trust them to stay put.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Winchester XPR Hnt Strata scope-ready out of the box?
The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts, so you can install rings and rings and mount your optic without additional gunsmithing. Scope rings are not included; you'll need to source those separately based on your preferred scope diameter and mounting style.
Does the muzzle brake come installed?
Yes. The 9/16 x 24 threaded muzzle brake is included and installed on the barrel, ready to go straight out of the box.
What is the M.O.A. trigger system, and can I adjust it?
Winchester's M.O.A. (Minute of Angle) trigger system is designed for precision hunting and range work. The trigger is user-adjustable, allowing you to customize the break weight to match your shooting preference. Refer to the manual for safe adjustment procedures.
What's the advantage of the free-floating barrel?
A free-floating barrel is not in contact with the stock along its length, which reduces harmonics and improves shot-to-shot consistency—a key benefit for hunting, especially at longer distances where every tenth of an inch counts.
