The Winchester XPR is a no-nonsense bolt-action rifle built for serious hunters who demand reliability in the field. Chambered in 300 Winchester Magnum with a 26-inch barrel, this rifle combines proven hunting cartridge performance with Winchester's reputation for accuracy and durability. The XPR line represents the kind of practical, hard-working firearm that gets the job done without unnecessary frills—ideal for hunters pursuing big game at extended ranges where the .300 WM's power and ballistics really shine.
The rifle's steel receiver and barrel both wear a Perma-Cote matte finish that resists corrosion and glare, essential for hunts in unpredictable weather. The composite stock is finished in Mossy Oak DNA camouflage, blending into natural terrain while keeping weight down compared to wood. You'll find sling swivel studs installed and ready for your preferred carrying setup. The free-floating, precision button-rifled barrel is crowned with a recessed target design—details that contribute to consistent accuracy shot after shot.
Winchester engineered the XPR with shooter comfort and control in mind. The MOA Trigger System provides a clean, predictable break, while the two-position thumb safety keeps the rifle secure until you're ready. The Inflex Technology recoil pad absorbs felt recoil, which matters with a .300 WM—managing kick helps you stay on target for follow-up shots. A detachable box magazine feeds reliably and allows quick ammo changes in the field. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, so mounting your optic is straightforward.
This is a rifle for hunters who value function over fashion: accurate, tough, and purpose-built for serious work at distance. Whether you're stalking elk in mountain country or hunting larger game where reach and power count, the XPR 300 WM is engineered to deliver.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Winchester XPR 300 WM designed for?
The XPR 300 Winchester Magnum is purpose-built for big game hunting, particularly situations where longer-range accuracy and stopping power are priorities. The .300 WM cartridge and 26-inch barrel combination delivers the velocity and energy needed for elk, moose, and other large game at extended distances.
Does the XPR come ready to mount a scope?
Yes. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope base mounting, so you can attach rings and a base directly to the rifle. You'll need to provide your own scope, rings, and base.
What's the recoil like with the Inflex pad?
The Inflex Technology recoil pad is designed to absorb and reduce felt recoil, making the .300 WM more comfortable to shoot and helping you maintain better control for follow-up shots. Exact recoil performance varies based on your body position and shooting technique.
Is the rifle ready to use out of the box?
The XPR comes with sling swivel studs installed, so you can attach a sling immediately. However, you will need to mount a scope and bases yourself, or have a gunsmith do it. The rifle does not come with a scope, rings, or ammunition.
