The Winchester Wildcat SR is a suppressor-ready 22 LR rimfire rifle built for shooters who want a compact, lightweight platform that doesn't sacrifice capability. This semi-automatic features a 16.5-inch button-rifled barrel with 1/2 x 28 TPI threading, so you can thread on a suppressor when you're ready—a knurled thread protector keeps the muzzle clean until then. At just 4 pounds thanks to its composite construction and polymer stock, the Wildcat SR handles like a dream whether you're running it at the range, hunting small game, or training new shooters.
The receiver is built from rugged gray polymer with an integral Picatinny rail on top for optic mounting, and the lower assembly removes with a single button push for field cleaning. Controls are straightforward and ambidextrous: the reversible safety, slide lock, and bolt release are all within reach, and the magazine release works from either side via rail-mounted tabs or a traditional release button. The rotary magazine holds 10 rounds and locks the bolt back after the last shot, so you know immediately when you're empty. Better still, the Wildcat SR accepts aftermarket 10/22 magazines, giving you flexibility and access to affordable ammunition carriers.
Sights come standard—a ghost ring rear and ramped post front—so you're ready to shoot out of the box without extra optic purchases. The molded polymer stock wears a Forged Carbon finish, and Picatinny rails on the underside of the forearm (with rail cover included) let you add lights or other accessories if you want them. It's the kind of practical, no-nonsense rimfire that works hard whether you're zeroing in a new hunter or running drills yourself.
