The Winchester XPR Left-Hand is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle designed specifically for left-handed shooters who demand accuracy and reliability in the field. Winchester engineered this rifle around real hunting needs: a rigid steel receiver, precision button-rifled barrel, and a trigger system refined for clean breaks. The 308 Winchester chambering covers most North American hunting scenarios, from whitetail to elk, while the 22-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling in brush and timber.
What sets the XPR Left-Hand apart is attention to the details that matter to serious hunters. The composite stock wears TrueTimber Midnight camouflage—effective in real hunting conditions, not just marketing photos. A Tungsten Cerakote finish on the barrel and steel receiver resists weathering and corrosion. The oversized bolt handle cycles smoothly even with heavy gloves or cold hands. A factory-installed muzzle brake tames recoil, making followup shots faster and more precise. The detachable box magazine lets you reload quickly or swap loads between hunts without disassembling the rifle.
This is a rifle built to shoot, not to sit in a gun safe. The barrel is button-rifled and free-floated for consistency. The M.O.A. Trigger System breaks clean and predictable. The receiver is drilled and tapped from the factory, so mounting a scope takes minutes, not a gunsmith visit. Inflex Technology in the recoil pad absorbs felt recoil, reducing fatigue on long days afield. Sling swivel studs are welded on, ready for your preferred carry rig.
Winchester's 2024 SHOT Show special delivers serious rifle engineering at a working-rifle price point. Whether you're hunting from a ridge top, a treestand, or a blind, the XPR Left-Hand is ready to do its job.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Winchester XPR Left-Hand truly ambidextrous, or left-hand only?
This is a dedicated left-hand rifle. The bolt, safety, magazine release, and overall ergonomics are configured for southpaw shooters. If you're right-handed, Winchester makes a right-hand version of the XPR.
Do I need to buy a scope separately, or does it come with one?
The rifle ships without a scope. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for standard scope mounts, so you can install your choice of optic. A gunsmith is not required.
What's included in the box?
The facts provided confirm the rifle ships with a detachable box magazine. For a complete list of included accessories, contact us directly.
Is the muzzle brake removable, or is it permanent?
The muzzle brake is threaded (9/16 x 24) to the barrel, so it can be removed or replaced if desired. However, the specific installation method is not detailed in our current specs—we recommend confirming with our team before attempting removal.
What makes the .308 Winchester a good caliber for hunting?
The .308 Winchester is one of the most versatile and proven hunting cartridges in North America. It handles whitetail, mule deer, and elk-sized game effectively, is widely available, and recoil is manageable for most shooters. It's also a natural fit in a 22-inch barrel like the XPR Left-Hand.
