The Winchester XPR left-hand rifle in .243 Winchester is a purpose-built hunting rifle engineered for southpaw shooters who refuse to compromise on accuracy or handling. Built on a proven bolt-action platform, this rifle combines a modern composite stock finished in TrueTimber Midnight camouflage with a precision-rifled steel barrel protected by Tungsten Cerakote — a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that stands up to field use. The oversize bolt handle and accessible two-position safety are positioned for left-hand operation, so you don't fumble or reach awkwardly during the critical moment.
Winchester's XPR line has earned respect among hunters for honest accuracy and dependable mechanics without unnecessary complexity. The M.O.A. Trigger System provides predictable break and reset, and the detachable box magazine lets you reload quickly or swap loads in the field. The barrel comes threaded with a muzzle brake already installed — a 9/16 x 24 pattern — so you can swap it for a suppressor or different brake if your setup calls for it. Nickel Teflon coating on the bolt body resists corrosion, and the free-floated barrel design supports consistent shot-to-shot grouping.
If you're a left-handed shooter tired of buying right-handed rifles and adapting, or if you're setting up a dedicated rifle for a southpaw hunter in your family, the Winchester XPR LH in .243 delivers the ergonomics and performance you actually need. The .243 Winchester cartridge itself is renowned for light recoil, excellent velocity, and clean, ethical performance on medium game — making this a natural fit for hunters who want to practice without punishment and hunt without apology.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this rifle actually set up for left-handed shooters?
Yes. The bolt, safety, and magazine are all configured for left-hand operation. The oversize bolt handle and two-position thumb safety are positioned where a southpaw shooter naturally expects them, so you're not fighting the rifle's design.
What scope mounting options are available?
The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard scope rings and bases, so you can mount most common optics. You'll need to select rings and a base separately depending on your scope and preferred mounting system.
Can I use a suppressor with this rifle?
The barrel is threaded with a 9/16 x 24 pattern and comes with a muzzle brake installed. You can unscrew the brake and attach a suppressor, but you'll need one that matches this thread pitch.
What makes the .243 Winchester a good choice for hunting?
The .243 Winchester delivers excellent velocity with mild recoil, making it well-suited for medium game hunting. Light recoil means less flinch, easier follow-up shots, and comfortable shooting during practice and in the field.
