The Winchester SX4 Waterfowl Hunter in 20-gauge is a gas-operated autoloading shotgun built to handle serious waterfowl hunting from first light to last shot. Built on Winchester's proven Active Valve Gas System—the same reliable foundation that made the SX3 legendary—the SX4 delivers soft-shooting, fast-cycling performance even in grueling conditions. The 20-gauge 3-inch chamber gives you all the effectiveness of a traditional waterfowl gun with noticeably less recoil and improved handling, making it a smart choice for duck and goose hunters who value comfort without compromise.
This Waterfowl Hunter model wears Winchester's classic Woodland camouflage finish on its aluminum alloy receiver, composite stock, and 28-inch barrel—a time-tested pattern that blends seamlessly in flooded timber, marsh grasses, and cattail beds. The barrel itself is chrome-plated in the chamber and bore, giving you real corrosion protection against the salt spray, mud, and steel shot that come with serious waterfowl work. The ventilated rib helps with sight picture and cooling, while the included Truglo fiber-optic sight cuts through low-light conditions common in early-morning hunts.
Winchester engineered the SX4 with shooters in mind. The new Inflex Technology recoil pad soaks up punishment so you stay focused on the birds, not the punch. Larger bolt handle and bolt release buttons mean faster operation in cold, wet gloves, while the reversible safety can be configured for your dominant hand. The trigger guard opening is roomier for simplified handling in layered waterfowl gear. You get three Invector-Plus choke tubes, sling swivel studs for quick attachment, and length-of-pull spacers to dial in your fit.
If you're serious about ducks and geese and want a modern gas gun that handles recoil as well as it handles Woodland, the SX4 Waterfowl Hunter checks every box.
