The Winchester 1873 Sporter Octagon .357/.38 lever action rifle brings authentic Old West heritage into your hands—or your collection. This is the real deal: a genuine Winchester Repeating Arms Model 1873 with period-correct details that honor the original design that helped settle a continent. Whether you're a serious lever-action shooter, a cowboy action competitor, or a collector who demands authenticity over shortcuts, this rifle delivers the look, feel, and function of the iconic gun that won the West.

The octagon barrel pairs classic aesthetics with practical performance, while the satin oil-finished walnut stock and straight grip feel smooth and alive in your hands—nothing plastic, nothing rushed. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optional tang-mounted sights if you want to customize your sight picture beyond the semi-buckhorn rear and brass bead front already in place. At 7 lbs 8 oz and 43 inches overall, it balances well for both hunting and sport shooting, and the full-length magazine tube cycles .357 Magnum or .38 Special reliably, giving you 14 rounds of capacity depending on your load.

This isn't a reproduction or a modern interpretation—it's a Winchester through and through, with blued steel, a crescent buttplate that settles into your shoulder, and a steel loading gate designed for smooth operation. If you've been holding out for a genuine 1873 Sporter rather than settling for copies, this is your rifle.
