The Weatherby Mark V Deluxe 6.5 WBY RPM bolt-action rifle brings back the golden age of American gunmaking—walnut and steel, built to last and built to hunt. This isn't a tactical platform or a competition gun; it's a rifle for hunters who appreciate elegant engineering married to timeless aesthetics. The 6.5 Weatherby RPM is a modern, fast-burning cartridge that delivers flat trajectory and consistent energy downrange, and the Mark V's legendary controlled-round-feed action and three-position safety give you the reliability you need when it counts.
The Deluxe speaks for itself: gloss AA walnut furniture with fineline diamond-point checkering, a rosewood forend and grip cap, and maplewood spacers that catch the light. The barrel, trigger guard, and bolt knob wear a high-gloss finish that contrasts beautifully against the wood. You get a Pachmayr Decelerator pad to manage recoil, and the rifle ships ready to shoot from a 24-inch barrel with a 1-in-8 twist. At 7.1 pounds and 44 5/8 inches overall, it balances handling and sight radius without excess weight—perfect for backcountry hunts or days in the stand.
This is a rifle that doesn't need to prove itself. The Mark V Deluxe has earned trust across generations of serious hunters because Weatherby never cut corners on the fundamentals: a strong action, a decent trigger, and a stock that fits your hand and your eye. If you're building a classic rifle battery or you've simply grown tired of plastic and Picatinny rails, this is the gun to consider.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 6.5 Weatherby RPM, and is it widely available?
The 6.5 Weatherby RPM is Weatherby's proprietary 6.5mm cartridge engineered for modern velocity and efficiency. Ammunition availability varies by region and retailer; we recommend checking with local suppliers before purchasing to ensure you can source rounds in your area.
Is this rifle suitable for long-range hunting?
The 6.5 Weatherby RPM's flat trajectory and modern ballistics make it capable at extended range. The 24-inch barrel with 1-in-8 twist is a practical hunting setup, though your success at distance also depends on your optics, ammunition quality, and shooting skill. This rifle is designed more as a versatile hunting tool than a dedicated long-range precision platform.
What comes installed on the rifle?
The Mark V Deluxe ships with the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad installed and ready to shoot. No scope or rings are included; you'll need to mount your own optic and rings for immediate use.
Is the 13.5-inch length of pull a standard size?
Yes, 13.5 inches is a typical length of pull for most adults and fits well with the rifle's Monte Carlo comb geometry. If you require a different measurement, consult Weatherby's customer service regarding aftermarket stock options.
