The TriStar Viper G2 24129 Compact 20-gauge shotgun is a gas-operated semi-automatic built for hunters and sport shooters who need a lightweight, maneuverable gun that handles everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl rounds. The 24-inch barrel and compact stock (13-inch length of pull) make it ideal for younger shooters, smaller-framed adults, or anyone who values handling over reach. Dressed in Realtree Edge camo, it blends into the field while the durable injection-molded furniture—finished in soft-touch coating—stays comfortable and dependable through seasons of use.
The Viper G2 uses a proven gas system that cycles reliably across a wide range of ammo, so you're not locked into one load type. The chrome-lined chamber and barrel resist corrosion, and the removable choke system accepts Beretta/Benelli Mobil threads—you get three tubes (IC, M, F) in the box, plus a wrench and choke tube storage case. A manual magazine cut-off lets you switch loads mid-hunt without unloading the mag, while the oversized bolt handle and release (on SR models) make charging and manipulation smooth and sure.
Standard features include a vent rib with matted sight plane and fiber optic sight for fast target acquisition, a rubber recoil pad to soften felt recoil, and shim kits to fine-tune cast and drop. The gun ships with a shot plug for legal waterfowl use. This is a no-fuss, hard-working compact shotgun backed by TriStar's five-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Viper G2 Compact suitable for younger or smaller shooters?
Yes. The 13-inch length of pull and 24-inch barrel are designed for shooters who need a more compact fit than standard shotguns. The soft-touch stock and rubber recoil pad also help reduce felt recoil and improve comfort.
What chokes come with this shotgun, and can I use other brands?
The Viper G2 ships with three Beretta/Benelli Mobil-threaded chokes: Improved Cylinder (IC), Modified (M), and Full (F). Because it uses the Mobil thread standard, you can use aftermarket chokes designed for that system. The gun includes a wrench and storage case for your tubes.
Can I shoot different ammunition types without adjusting the gun?
The gas-operated system is designed to cycle reliably with light target loads all the way up to heavy waterfowl loads, so you can switch between load types without modification. A manual magazine cut-off lets you change ammunition mid-hunt without unloading the magazine.
What comes in the box?
The shotgun includes three choke tubes (IC, M, F), a choke wrench, a choke storage case, a rubber recoil pad, a shot plug (for legal waterfowl hunting), and shim kits for fitting and drop adjustment.
