The TriStar Sporting Arms Viper G2 410 gauge semi-auto shotgun is a lightweight, gas-operated option for shooters who want versatility in a compact frame. At 5.8 lbs with a 26-inch barrel and 3-inch chamber, this .410 semi-auto handles everything from light target loads to heavier field rounds without the punishing recoil of larger gauges. The RealTree Max-4HD camo finish blends into most hunting environments, while the Soft Touch coating on the stock and forearm provides confident handling in wet conditions and all-day comfort.

The Viper G2's gas-operated action cycles reliably across a wide range of ammunition, and the removable choke system uses standard Beretta/Benelli Mobil threads—giving you compatibility with aftermarket tubes if you want to experiment beyond the included set. Three chokes (IC, M, F) and a choke wrench come in the box. The manual E-Z Load magazine cut-off lets you unload the chamber independently of the magazine, a thoughtful feature that simplifies gun handling at the range or in the field. A fiber optic sight mounted on the vented rib aids target acquisition, and swivel studs are fitted for sling attachment.

Build quality won't surprise you for the price: chrome-lined chamber and barrel resist corrosion, the injection-molded stock is durable, and shim kits are standard to help you dial in cast and drop. The rubber recoil pad absorbs impact, and the safety is positioned on the trigger guard backside for intuitive reach. A 5-round magazine (with shot plug for legal compliance) keeps you mobile, and quick-access plug removal makes magazine swaps simple. The 410's lightweight profile and manageable recoil make it approachable for newer shooters and small-framed hunters, and the semi-auto action means faster follow-up shots if you need them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What chokes are included and are they compatible with other shotguns?

The Viper G2 ships with three choke tubes—Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full—and uses Beretta/Benelli Mobil threads. If you own other shotguns with Mobil-compatible choke systems, these tubes are interchangeable, and you can source aftermarket chokes in the same thread pattern.

Is the 410 gauge suitable for hunting, or is it mainly for target shooting?

The 3-inch chamber and gas-operated action allow the Viper G2 to cycle both light target loads and heavier field ammunition. The .410 is effective for hunting upland game and small-game applications where appropriate shot selection is made; it is not typically used for waterfowl or large game.

What comes in the box?

The shotgun arrives with three choke tubes (IC, M, F), a choke wrench, a shot plug (already installed in the magazine), a choke storage box, and shim kits for adjustment. A rubber recoil pad is fitted to the stock.

Can I unload the chamber without cycling a round from the magazine?

Yes. The manual E-Z Load magazine cut-off allows you to push up the lifter and open the action to unload the chamber independently, preventing a fresh round from the magazine from cycling into the chamber. This feature simplifies safe handling and unloading procedures.
