The Taylors & Co 1892 Alaskan Black Takedown lever action rifle brings proven 1892 mechanics into a modern, packable platform built for hunters who need serious stopping power without the weight. Chambered in .44 Rem Mag, this takedown rifle splits into manageable pieces for transport into remote country, then reassembles in seconds so you're ready to hunt. At just 5.9 lbs with a 16-inch barrel and 34-inch overall length, it handles like a dream in tight brush or from horseback—exactly what Alaska guides and backcountry hunters have demanded for generations.

The action is tuned to run Hornady Lever Evolution ammunition reliably, giving you the velocity and terminal performance modern hunting demands from a classic platform. You get 7 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber, enough for most situations without carrying a pack full of ammo. The ghost-ring rear sight and fiber optic front are mounted on a Picatinny rail, so you can keep it simple or add a low-power optic if your hunting style calls for it.

Wood furniture and soft-touch rubber overmolding strike the balance between traditional aesthetics and practical grip in wet, cold conditions. The anti-shock rubber buttpad soaks up recoil and won't slip off your shoulder when you're wearing heavy layers. Matte-black finish sheds glare and won't spook game. This is a rifle that respects the 1892 heritage while delivering the reliability and ergonomics modern hunters expect.
