The Taylors & Co 1887T 12ga lever action shotgun brings old-school charm and modern reliability to your shotgun collection. This 18.5" lever-action shotgun balances nostalgia with practical field performance—it's the gun that's earned its reputation in cowboy action competition and appeals to anyone who appreciates a manual-action scattergun that demands real skill to operate. The compact 18.5" barrel keeps things maneuverable, while the 2.75" chamber handles standard 12-gauge ammunition without fuss.
What sets the 1887T apart is the attention to ergonomics. The wood furniture—forearm and pistol grip—wears a durable soft-touch rubber coating in black, giving you secure purchase in wet conditions and a comfortable, non-slip platform for extended shooting. The matte-black finish is practical, too: it resists glare and won't telegraph your position. At 7.9 lbs and 27.5" overall, this is a handy gun that doesn't punish you carrying it in the field or across a range.
This lever-action operates as a standard shotgun under federal law, so there's no special paperwork to worry about. Whether you're running it in cowboy action, hunting upland game, or just enjoying the mechanical satisfaction of working a lever, the 1887T delivers that old-world manual operation with a 5-round capacity that's plenty for most uses. It's a gun that rewards practice and precision—exactly what a traditional shotgunner wants.
