The Taurus Judge .45 Colt/.410 GA revolver is a distinctive dual-caliber wheelgun built for defensive versatility at close range. This 3-inch barrel model chambers both .410 2.5-inch shotshells and .45 Colt ammunition, giving you flexibility in how you load and deploy it depending on your situation. The Judge's rifled barrel is engineered to spread shot patterns effectively at short distances when loaded with .410 shells, while providing reliable accuracy with .45 Colt rounds at longer distances — making it a true hybrid for personal protection and home defense.
The 5-round capacity and double-action/single-action trigger keep you in control, while the fixed red fiber optic front sight and fixed rear sights work together to help you acquire targets quickly in varying light. The steel blue finish gives the gun a clean, professional appearance, and the ribber black grip absorbs recoil and keeps your hand steady. Taurus backs it with their Security System transfer bar safety, a standard feature in their revolver line. Weighing 29 ounces and measuring 7.5 inches in overall length, the Judge strikes a balance between shootability and portability—compact enough for carry or nightstand use, substantial enough to handle both shotshell and revolver ballistics without excessive felt recoil.
The Judge has earned a following among judges, law enforcement, and civilian shooters who want a single firearm capable of handling multiple ammunition types without compromise. Its short barrel and chamber versatility make it well-suited to close-quarters scenarios where most self-defense situations occur, while the .45 Colt option lets you reach out to moderate distances if needed.
