The Taurus 605 T.O.R.O .357 Mag 3" revolver breaks new ground as the first small-frame .357 Magnum purpose-built to accept a red dot optic. If you've wanted the ballistic punch and reliability of a .357 revolver but felt limited by iron sights alone, this gun changes that. The T.O.R.O mounts optics using the Holosun K footprint — a proven, compact standard that pairs naturally with a 3-inch barrel and keeps the overall profile tight for personal protection or duty carry.
This isn't a gimmick retrofit either. The 605 T.O.R.O retains the steel-frame build, smooth trigger, and five-round capacity that made Taurus's 605 Defender a working gun. All stainless steel construction — frame, cylinder, and barrel — means it'll hold up to regular use and defensive carry. The 3-inch barrel extracts full performance from .357 Magnum and .38 Special +P rounds, while the compact grips help manage recoil and keep the gun easy to conceal.
The removable front sight and fixed rear sight leave room for your optic of choice, and the extended ejector rod makes reloads smooth. At 23.5 ounces and 7.5 inches overall, it's sized for belt carry or a quality holster. Whether you're building a defensive revolver for carry, or you simply prefer a modern sight picture on a classic platform, the 605 T.O.R.O delivers — just bring your own red dot.

Frequently Asked Questions
What red dot sights work with the Taurus 605 T.O.R.O?
The revolver uses the Holosun K footprint optic mount, so it accepts any compact red dot designed for that standard. The optic itself is not included — you'll need to source your own.
Can I shoot .38 Special in the 605 T.O.R.O?
Yes. The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum / .38 Special +P, so both calibers are safe and reliable to shoot. You can mix or match rounds depending on your needs.
Is the 605 T.O.R.O suitable for concealed carry?
Yes. At 23.5 ounces and 7.5 inches long with a compact grip, it's sized for belt or inside-waistband carry. The all-steel stainless construction is corrosion-resistant and reliable for daily defensive use.
What sights come standard if I don't use an optic?
The revolver has a removable front sight and fixed rear sight. If you choose not to mount an optic, these iron sights remain functional — the optic mount doesn't interfere with traditional sight picture.
