The Taurus 327 2" revolver is a compact, versatile wheelgun built for shooters who want serious stopping power in a carry-friendly package. Chambered in .327 Federal Magnum—with the added flexibility to shoot .32 H&R Magnum and .32 S&W ammunition—this stainless-steel six-shooter delivers more velocity and energy than its smaller-caliber cousins while staying manageable in recoil. At just over 6.5 inches overall and 22 ounces, it's built for real-world carry without sacrificing the reliability that makes a revolver your backup plan's backup plan.

The double-action/single-action firing system gives you options: smooth, consistent trigger control in double-action mode for defensive work, or crisp single-action breaks if precision matters. The serrated ramp front sight and fixed rear sight channel are designed for quick target acquisition—no snags, no fuss. The soft rubber grip absorbs recoil and keeps the gun stable in your hand, whether you're practicing at the range or carrying it as a backup or off-duty piece. All the steel—frame, barrel, and cylinder—wears a matte stainless finish that handles hard use and won't compete for attention.

This is a gun for the practical shooter: someone who understands that a revolver doesn't jam, who appreciates the self-defense versatility of a magnum round in a package that actually fits a waistband, and who isn't interested in hype. The .327 Federal Magnum round sits in a smart middle ground—more capability than standard .32s, less snappy than a 9mm, and available in a platform that's been trusted by carry-conscious shooters for generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I shoot .32 S&W or .32 H&R Magnum in this .327 Magnum revolver?

Yes. The Taurus 327 is chambered in .327 Federal Magnum but is backward-compatible with both .32 H&R Magnum and .32 S&W ammunition, giving you flexibility in what you load at the range or in the field.

Is this Taurus 327 sized for concealed carry?

Absolutely. At 6.55 inches overall, 4.80 inches tall, and just 22 ounces, this is a genuine pocket and waistband revolver—compact enough for on-body carry without being so small that it's miserable to shoot.

What's the difference between double-action and single-action on this revolver?

Double-action mode: pull the trigger once to cock and fire—useful for fast, defensive shooting. Single-action mode: manually cock the hammer first, then press the trigger for a lighter, crisper break—useful for slower, more precise work.

What's a transfer bar safety?

A transfer bar is an internal safety mechanism that only allows the hammer to strike the firing pin when the trigger is fully pressed. It protects against accidental discharge if the gun is dropped or the hammer is struck.
