The Stevens Model 334 bolt-action rifle in .243 Winchester is a no-nonsense hunting and range rifle that punches above its weight class. This .243 Win bolt-action delivers dependable accuracy and fast follow-up capability without the premium price tag of higher-end platforms. Built on a proven design with a 60-degree bolt lift, the Stevens 334 gets you back on target quickly—ideal for hunters working open country or shooters honing their skills at the range.

The matte black synthetic stock on this model means you're getting a rifle that shrugs off weather and heavy use. The free-floating, button-rifled barrel is responsible for the Model 334's reputation for consistency shot to shot. A two-stage adjustable trigger lets you dial in the break you want, while the 3-position safety keeps things secure whether you're in the field or at the bench. The 3-round detachable box magazine feeds reliably and comes out fast when you need it.

This rifle ships ready to mount glass—the receiver is drilled and tapped with Savage M110 spacing and includes a steel Picatinny rail. That means you can have it scoped and ready to hunt in an afternoon. With sling swivel studs front and back, pairing it with a hunting sling is straightforward. The integrated recoil lug and matte black carbon steel receiver are built to take abuse and stay accurate for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mount a scope on the Stevens 334 without additional drilling?

Yes. The receiver comes drilled and tapped with Savage M110 spacing and includes a steel Picatinny rail, so you can mount standard scope rings and rings directly to the rifle.

What's the magazine capacity and is it easy to change?

The Model 334 uses a 3-round detachable box magazine. The detachable design means you can swap magazines quickly in the field or at the range.

Is the synthetic stock durable for hunting and rough use?

The black synthetic stock is built to handle weather, brush, and field conditions without damage or warping. It's paired with an integrated recoil pad to manage .243 Winchester recoil and absorb impact during transport.

How fast can I work the bolt between shots?

The 60-degree bolt lift is designed for rapid cycling. Compared to traditional 90-degree lift actions, the shorter arc lets you chamber follow-up rounds faster while maintaining control of the rifle.
