The Standard MFG DP12 is a dual-barrel pump-action 12 gauge shotgun built for shooters who want serious firepower in a tactical platform. This isn't a conventional side-by-side or over-under—it's engineered to fire two rounds with each pump stroke, giving you rapid follow-up shots without the manual reload cycle of traditional pumps. The DP12 in Olive Drab Green combines rugged, no-nonsense aesthetics with genuine tactical utility, making it a standout choice for home defense, clay sports, or anyone who values redundancy and raw performance.

The gun is machined from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum with a thermal-coated receiver, designed to handle both 2¾" and 3" shells. At 9 pounds 12 ounces and 29.5 inches overall, it balances the weight distribution intelligently—the dual barrels and recoil management system keep felt recoil manageable despite its power. The ambidextrous safety and pump release mean it works equally well for right- and left-handed shooters. Dual Picatinny rails (including a 13.75-inch rail on top and a seven-slot rail along the foregrip) let you mount optics, lights, or other tactical accessories without modification.

Capacity is where the DP12 really shines: 14 rounds in the pair of magazines plus two in the chamber gives you 16 total on tap. A shell indicator window keeps you aware of ammunition status. The composite foregrip and co-molded rubber grip provide secure purchase even when wet or gloved, while the rubber recoil pad with dual spring-loaded mechanism absorbs punishment. Both barrels come fitted with spreader choke tubes (Tru-Choke pattern), and a choke wrench is included for field adjustment. The synthetic stock and front/rear sling attachment points ready it for either recreational or serious shooting applications.

This is a purpose-built tool for shooters who understand that dual barrels mean reliability through redundancy—if one barrel fails, you still have another ready to go. The Olive Drab Green finish suits both tactical and outdoor aesthetics without the premium price tag of some competitors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What shotgun shells does the DP12 accept?

The DP12 chambers both 2¾" and 3" shells, giving you flexibility in ammunition choice for hunting, sport shooting, or home defense applications.

How does the dual-barrel design work with pump operation?

Each pump cycle fires both barrels simultaneously, delivering two rounds downrange before you work the action again. This differs from traditional single-barrel pumps and gives you rapid follow-up firepower without manual loading between shots.

What accessories and rail options are included?

The DP12 ships with two Picatinny rails: a 13.75-inch rail on top for optics and a seven-slot rail on the bottom near the foregrip. Both rails support standard Picatinny accessories. The gun also includes MOE rail slots, a choke wrench, a heavy-duty lock, instruction booklet, and warranty card.

Is the DP12 set up for both right- and left-handed shooters?

Yes. The safety and pump slide release are both ambidextrous, making it equally user-friendly for left- and right-handed operators. Sling attachment points (front and rear) allow versatile carry options.

What's included in the box?

The DP12 comes with both spreader choke tubes already installed, a choke wrench for field adjustment, a heavy-duty lock, instruction booklet, and warranty card.
