The Stag 15 Retro CHPHS 20" A2 rifle is a no-nonsense, mil-spec 5.56 NATO built to the time-tested A2 platform specs that have proven themselves across decades of use. If you're looking for a straightforward, reliable AR that harks back to the original design without modern gadgetry, this right-handed rifle delivers honest performance built to military standards. Stag Arms has chambered it in 5.56x45mm NATO with a 20-inch 4150 CMV chrome-lined barrel and paired it with a direct impingement gas system—the same setup that has worked reliably in the field for generations. Whether you're zeroing in at the range, training, or running through defensive scenarios, this retro-profile AR offers the simplicity and durability that experienced shooters appreciate.
The rifle comes outfitted with classic A2 furniture: a removable carry handle for iron sights, an A2 buttstock with a trap-door storage compartment, and a rifle-length thermoplastic handguard with dual heat shields to keep your support hand comfortable during sustained fire. The A2 birdcage flash hider, mil-spec charging handle, and manganese phosphate-coated M16 bolt carrier group round out a straightforward, honest build. You get a 20-round GI magazine in the box, and the pistol grip is the traditional A2 profile that many shooters prefer for control and ergonomics.
Stag Arms backs every rifle with a transferable lifetime warranty and an infinite shot barrel guarantee—a real commitment to quality that reflects confidence in their work. This isn't a tricked-out modern tactical rifle; it's a well-made, dependable AR-15 that respects the fundamentals of the platform while delivering the performance you need.
