Stag Arms engineered this rifle around the timeless A2 platform, combining mil-spec construction with components that have proven themselves in the field for decades. If you're a left-handed shooter seeking a straightforward 5.56 NATO rifle that handles like the original designs that set the standard, this retro-styled Stag 15 delivers authentic performance and ergonomics.
The 20-inch 4150 chrome-lined barrel is built for accuracy and longevity, with a 1-7 twist optimized for the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge. The A2 birdcage flash hider tames muzzle flash without the need for modern accessories, while the rifle-length polymer handguard with dual heat shields keeps your support hand comfortable during extended shooting. The left-hand safety selector makes this rifle immediately accessible for southpaw operators without adapters or modifications.
Construction throughout meets military standards: the bolt carrier group uses full-auto spec 8620 steel with chrome-lined phosphate finish for durability, the charging handle follows mil-spec geometry, and the A2 buttstock includes a trap door for storing cleaning kits or small items. You'll get a 20-round magazine and Stag Arms' Transferable Lifetime Warranty plus their Infinite Shot Barrel Guarantee with purchase, backing the rifle's long-term reliability.
