The SilencerCo Osprey 45 2.0 is a multi-caliber suppressor designed for pistol shooters who want genuine sound reduction without sacrificing sight picture or handling. Unlike traditional cylindrical suppressors, the Osprey 45 2.0 uses a polygonal shape paired with a monocore baffle design—a combination that delivers larger internal volume and measurably better sound suppression than conventional round cans. Its eccentric offset design keeps most of the suppressor below your pistol's line of sight, meaning your factory sights remain unobstructed and your shooting experience stays familiar.

The push-button indexing system is where the Osprey 45 2.0 truly shines for practical shooters. Instead of fiddling with orientation on the range or in the field, you press the button, lock it in, and know it's seated consistently every single time. That repeatability matters when you're building a reliable host or testing loads. The modular design also means pistons for standard thread pitches are swappable with other SilencerCo suppressors—Omega 36M, Hybrid 46, Octane Series, and Omega K Series—so if your firearm collection grows, your suppressor ecosystem can grow with it.

A standout feature for dedicated users: the Osprey 45 2.0 is engineered to shoot "wet" or "dry." Running it wet—adding roughly 5cc of clean water or clear wire-pulling gel to the rear—temporarily boosts sound suppression in a single session, then dries out naturally. That flexibility appeals to shooters managing noise in different environments or testing performance on their own terms. Just note that lead projectiles aren't recommended with SilencerCo's sealed suppressors, so stick to jacketed or copper ammunition for longevity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Osprey 45 2.0 with my factory sights?

Yes. The eccentric offset design positions the suppressor low on your pistol, keeping the majority of it below your sight line so factory iron sights and optics remain clear and usable.

What does it mean to shoot the Osprey 45 2.0 "wet"?

Shooting wet means adding approximately 5cc of clean water or clear wire-pulling gel into the back of the suppressor before firing. This temporarily enhances sound suppression for that shooting session. The suppressor dries out naturally over time, so you can run it wet or dry depending on your needs.

Will the Osprey 45 2.0 pistons work with other SilencerCo suppressors?

Yes. Pistons are available for common thread pitches and are interchangeable with the Omega 36M, Hybrid 46, Octane Series, and Omega K Series, so you can adapt the suppressor across multiple hosts.

What ammunition should I use with the Osprey 45 2.0?

Use jacketed or copper ammunition. Lead projectiles are not recommended for use with any of SilencerCo's sealed suppressors.
