The SCCY CPX-1 Gen 3 9mm pistol is a compact, reliable workhorse built for everyday carry. This third-generation update to the CPX line delivers the dependability you need in a package small enough to pocket or belt-carry comfortably. With its 3.1-inch barrel, stainless-steel slide, and polymer frame, the CPX-1 Gen 3 strikes a practical balance between firepower and concealability—making it a solid choice for shooters who want a no-nonsense 9mm that doesn't demand a full-size commitment.
The standout feature of the Gen 3 is its improved ergonomics. The upgraded grip provides better control and purchase, while the addition of a Picatinny rail opens the door to weapon-mounted lights or lasers if you want to build out your setup. The pistol uses a double-action-only (DAO) trigger with a 9-pound pull—consistent, predictable, and safe. You get ambidextrous manual safety controls, so lefties and righties alike can operate the gun intuitively without fumbling.
Sights matter, and SCCY equipped this Gen 3 with G-43 style fixed sights in white three-dot configuration. They're battle-tested and straightforward—no complicated acquisitions or fast-focus tricks, just reliable sight picture for defensive distances. If you're thinking about upgrading to a red-dot down the line, note that this model is red-dot capable, so the platform is there if you decide to go that direction later.
At 15 ounces fully loaded with its 10+1 capacity, the CPX-1 Gen 3 won't weigh down your waistband. The slim 1.10-inch width means it tucks away easily, whether you're in a desk job or in the field. This is a pragmatic pistol for folks who value reliability and simplicity over tactical flash.
