The Rossi RP63 .357 Magnum revolver is a compact, hard-working wheelgun built for shooters who want practical stopping power without unnecessary bulk. Chambered in .357 Magnum with a 3-inch barrel, the RP63 handles .38 Special +P ammunition too, giving you flexibility at the range or in the field. Six rounds of capacity, double-action/single-action operation, and stainless steel construction make this a no-nonsense option for self-defense, backup duty, or sport shooting—without the premium price tag that comes with some competitor platforms.

The RP63's compact frame balances portability with shootability. That 3-inch barrel keeps sight radius practical while keeping overall profile manageable for carry or truck storage. The 1:16.5 barrel twist with 6-groove rifling ensures stable bullet performance across the velocity range of both .357 and .38 loads. Satin stainless steel finish on the cylinder and frame resists corrosion, and the laminate grips provide a solid grip feel that holds up to repeated shooting.

Blade sights keep things simple and combat-proven. There's no guesswork here—Rossi has built the RP63 as a straightforward defensive revolver that doesn't ask for tactical gadgetry. Whether you're training at the range, carrying as a backup, or keeping one accessible at home, the RP63 delivers reliability and affordability in a package that won't bog you down. At 27.3 ounces, it's light enough to carry all day, heavy enough to shoot comfortably.

Is the RP63 suitable for concealed carry?

The 3-inch barrel and compact 5.47-inch height make the RP63 manageable for carry, and at 27.3 ounces it won't drag you down. Whether it works for your setup depends on your holster choice and carry method—many shooters find this size workable for IWB or shoulder carry.
