The Rossi RP63 .357 Magnum revolver is a compact, versatile handgun built for shooters who need a reliable six-shot option in a carry-friendly package. With its 3-inch stainless steel barrel and lightweight build, the RP63 works equally well for home defense, personal protection, or as a backup gun on the range. The single/double-action hammer-fired mechanism gives you the choice to cock for a precise, lighter trigger press or simply pull through a longer, controlled stroke—flexibility that appeals to shooters of varying experience levels.
Built in stainless steel throughout, the RP63 resists corrosion and holds up to hard use and storage in variable conditions. At under 27 ounces empty, it won't burden a belt or waistband, and the compact 7.95-inch overall length keeps the gun maneuverable in close quarters. The rubber grip absorbs recoil from .357 Magnum loads while providing secure purchase in sweaty or gloved hands. The hammer block safety prevents accidental discharge if the gun is dropped, a critical feature for any defensive arm.
The fixed rear sight and interchangeable front sight give you adjustment flexibility without the bulk or fragility of fully adjustable systems—a practical choice for a gun designed to work first and be tinkered with second. The replaceable hammer firing pin is a user-serviceable detail that keeps your revolver running if that part wears. Whether you're looking for a truck gun, a nightstand companion, or a reliable .357 magnum revolver for everyday carry, the Rossi RP63 delivers no-nonsense functionality in a size that works.

Frequently Asked Questions
What calibers can I shoot in the Rossi RP63?
The RP63 is chambered exclusively in .357 Magnum. You can also fire .38 Special ammunition in it, since .38 Special rounds are shorter and will function reliably in a .357 Magnum cylinder—a practical benefit if you want load flexibility at the range or for practice.
Is the Rossi RP63 suitable for concealed carry?
Yes. At under 28 ounces with a 3-inch barrel and 7.95-inch overall length, the RP63 is compact and lightweight enough for holster carry, vehicle storage, or backup gun duties. The stainless finish is also corrosion-resistant, which matters if you carry in humid conditions or near salt water.
Can I adjust the sights on this revolver?
The rear sight is fixed, so windage and elevation adjustments aren't available there. However, the front sight is interchangeable, allowing you to swap it out if you want a different profile, height, or style to dial in your point of aim.
What does the replaceable hammer firing pin mean for maintenance?
The hammer firing pin can be removed and replaced by the user if it becomes worn or damaged. This is a practical feature that means you don't necessarily need a gunsmith for that particular repair—you can order a replacement pin and swap it yourself.
