The Rossi RB17 17 HMR bolt-action rifle is a lightweight, handy platform built for precision shooting at small game and varmints. This 17 HMR rifle pairs a free-floated barrel with manual cross-bolt safety and a hammer firing system, delivering the accuracy and reliability you need in the field or at the range. At just 4.3 pounds, the RB17H2111 is easy to carry on long days hunting rabbits, prairie dogs, or other small-frame targets where the 17 HMR's ballistics shine.
The gun wears a matte black synthetic Monte Carlo stock and comes drilled and tapped for optics—no factory sights included, so you'll mount your preferred scope or red dot. The 21-inch barrel strikes a balance between velocity and handling in a package that won't wear you out during a day afield. With a 5+1 magazine capacity and an overall length of 38.5 inches, this bolt-action is nimble enough for brush and timber while remaining stable for deliberate, accurate shots.
Whether you're a varmint hunter after fox-proof accuracy, a small-game enthusiast, or a rimfire competitor, the RB17 offers honest, no-fuss mechanics in a trim, affordable package. Rossi's hammer firing system and free-floated barrel design speak to practical engineering that works—not marketing flash.

Frequently Asked Questions
What optics do I need for the Rossi RB17 17 HMR?
The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard scope mounts. A 3-9x40 or similar hunting/varmint scope is a popular choice for 17 HMR work, but your choice depends on your intended use—longer-range varminting may benefit from higher magnification, while small-game hunting typically calls for 4-12x or less.
Is the Rossi RB17 good for varmint hunting?
Yes. The 17 HMR cartridge is purpose-built for varmints and small game, and the RB17's free-floated barrel design supports the accuracy needed for precision shots at distance. The lightweight, compact handling makes it well-suited to extended varmint sessions.
What's included with this rifle?
You get the rifle itself with the Monte Carlo stock, bolt-action receiver, and 5+1 magazine. No sights or optics are included; you'll need to mount your own scope or sight.
How much does the Rossi RB17 weigh?
The RB17H2111 weighs 4.3 pounds, making it one of the lighter bolt-action rifles in its class—ideal for hunters who spend long days in the field without fatigue.
