The Rock Island Armory VRBP-100 is a compact 12 gauge bullpup shotgun built for shooters who need firepower without bulk. This semi-automatic, magazine-fed platform chambers both 2¾" and 3" shells, giving you flexibility whether you're hunting waterfowl, upland game, or running drills at the range. The 20" contoured barrel and overall length of just 32 inches make it nimble in tight spaces—ideal for home defense, hunting from a blind, or any scenario where a traditional length shotgun feels unwieldy. At 7.94 lbs unloaded, it's light enough for a full day afield without wearing you down.
The bullpup design places the polymer stock directly behind the action, which is the key to that compact footprint. You get genuine shotgun handling and controllability in a package that feels almost like a rifle in terms of maneuverability. The matte black anodized finish resists corrosion and glare, and the polymer stock features rubber spacers so you can dial in length of pull to fit your frame and shooting gear. Rock Island kept the controls intuitive and the gun honest—no gimmicks, just a purpose-built workhorse.
Magazine capacity runs 5+1 (5 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber when loaded with 3" shells), and it uses the VR Series magazine system for reliable, field-proven feeding. The Mobil Choke system lets you tailor your shot pattern to the task at hand. Whether you're a hunter looking for a second gun that handles different terrain better than a full-length, or a defender who values concealability and speed, the VRBP-100 fills that role without compromise.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the VRBP-100 good for home defense?
Yes. The compact 32" overall length makes it easier to move through doorways and tight spaces compared to a traditional 18.5" defense shotgun, while the semi-automatic action and 5-round magazine give you fast follow-up shots. The bullpup ergonomics keep the gun controllable and quick to aim in a defensive scenario.
What shells does it shoot?
The VRBP-100 chambers both 2¾" and 3" 12 gauge shells. The magazine capacity is 5+1 when loaded with 3" ammunition. You can run either length depending on your hunting needs or loads on hand.
Can I adjust the stock fit?
Yes. The polymer stock includes rubber spacers that allow you to adjust the length of pull, so you can dial it in for your shooting position, body frame, or whether you're wearing heavy clothing or tactical gear.
What magazines work with the VRBP-100?
The VRBP-100 uses VR Series magazines. Make sure you're ordering compatible magazines for this platform.
