The Remington 700 SPS Varmint bolt-action rifle in 22-250 Rem is built on the platform that's defined precision shooting for generations. If you're serious about varmint hunting or long-range target work, the Model 700 action—machined from solid-steel bar stock—gives you the accuracy foundation that's earned its reputation across decades of use. This isn't hype; it's the rifle that's proven itself in the field and on the range, and the 700 SPS Varmint brings that capability within reach for shooters who demand tight groups and reliable performance.

The 26-inch heavy-contour barrel is purpose-built for 22-250 velocity and precision shooting. That thick profile manages heat better during rapid fire, helping you maintain accuracy through a session. The barrel is threaded (1/2 x 28) so you can add a suppressor or muzzle brake to suit your setup. A drilled and tapped receiver accepts standard scope rings, letting you mount your optic quickly without gunsmithing. The non-reflective matte blued finish on the barrel and receiver keeps glint out of the equation—practical thinking for a rifle designed to reach out and touch distant targets.

The black synthetic stock with vented beavertail fore-end is ergonomic and functional: the venting helps with heat dissipation, over-molded grip panels give you a solid purchase in any weather, and the design is lighter than wood while remaining stiff where it counts. Sling swivel studs are mounted and ready. A hinged floorplate magazine provides convenient loading and unloading, and Remington's SuperCell recoil pad absorbs what little kick 22-250 generates. Inside, the 700's legendary action features a recessed bolt face and three-rings-of-steel design around the cartridge head, delivering the strength and consistency that make this rifle so shootable out of the box.
