The Remington 783 in .350 Legend with a 20-inch barrel and synthetic stock is a compact rifle built for hunters who need a modern, straightforward bolt-action platform in an intermediate cartridge. The .350 Legend has gained real traction in states with straight-walled cartridge hunting regulations, and this 783 delivers the accuracy and reliability Remington's entry-level line is known for without unnecessary weight or complexity. Pair the short barrel with the synthetic furniture and Kryptek camo finish, and you've got a rig that's equally at home in thick timber or slung across a blind.

The synthetic stock resists weather and abuse—no wood to warp or finish to babysit—while the Kryptek Open Top camo pattern breaks up your outline in a range of hunting environments. At 20 inches, this barrel keeps the overall length manageable for brush hunting or vehicle transport, and the compact profile makes it a natural fit for hunters of smaller frame or those who prefer a lighter-handling rifle. The 783 uses a proven push-feed bolt action, straightforward controls, and a traditional trigger that's familiar to anyone who's owned a Remington centerfire rifle.

This is not a precision match rifle or a feature-rich modern tactical platform; it's a no-frills, dependable hunting rifle that lets you focus on hunting rather than tinkering. If you shoot straight and know your distance, the 783 will do its job. Pair it with quality ammunition, practice at the range, and treat it with basic field care, and it'll serve you reliably for years of hunting seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Remington 783 .350 Legend good for hunting?

Yes. The .350 Legend is a straight-walled cartridge approved for rifle hunting in many states that previously allowed only shotguns or handguns. The 783 delivers reliable bolt-action accuracy at reasonable distances. Make sure to verify hunting regulations in your state before purchase.

What does the 20-inch barrel mean for hunting?

A 20-inch barrel keeps the rifle compact and maneuverable in thick cover or vehicles, though it will generate slightly lower velocity than longer barrels. The tradeoff is worth it if you hunt dense terrain or need a short, light gun.

Is the synthetic stock and camo finish durable?

Synthetic stocks are weather-resistant and require minimal maintenance compared to wood. The Kryptek Open Top camo finish helps break up your outline in the field. Both are designed to withstand hunting use.
