The Riley Defense Rak47-C-SF is an American-made 7.62x39 AK-pattern rifle built on a mil-spec stamped receiver with a side-folding metal stock—a practical choice for hunters, sport shooters, and those who value a compact platform without sacrificing full-size handling. The teak-finished wood furniture (upper and lower handguards) gives this rifle a distinctive aesthetic while maintaining the ruggedness you expect from a modern AK variant. At 35.25 inches overall length with the stock extended, it balances shootability with maneuverability in the field or at the range.

Under the wood and steel, the Rak47-C-SF is built to last. The receiver is fully heat-treated, the barrel is 4150 Nitride steel (16.25 inches), and the trunion, bolt, and carrier are forged components—all the bones of a rifle engineered to handle thousands of rounds. The 14×1 LH-threaded muzzle is ready for suppressors or other devices if you choose to go that route. The side-folding stock lets you collapse the rifle for transport or tight spaces, then lock it rigid for shooting.

You get adjustable front and rear iron sights, a machined scope mount rail on the side for optics, an extended magazine release for faster reloads, and a bayonet lug if tradition matters to you. The semi-automatic, closed-bolt action fires from a 30-round magazine. The 90-degree gas block is a known quantity in the AK world—reliable and field-proven. Whether you're zeroing in on steel at 350 yards (effective range) or pushing toward the max 1000-yard trajectory, this is a rifle that won't let you down.

Riley Defense manufactures these rifles in the USA, so you're supporting domestic production while getting a platform that blends classic AK ergonomics with American-spec reliability. If you want a 7.62x39 rifle that folds, handles, and shoots—without unnecessary frills—the Rak47-C-SF delivers.

Can I mount an optic on this rifle?

Yes. The Rak47-C-SF features a machined scope mount side rail that accepts standard AK-pattern optic mounts. Iron sights are also included and adjustable, so you can shoot it as-is or add glass.
