The Nosler M21 bolt-action rifle in 27 Nosler represents a modern approach to precision hunting—built by shooters who understand what works in the field and at the range. This isn't a rifle trying to be something it isn't; it's a production firearm engineered with the performance and attention to detail you'd expect from a custom build, but available off the shelf. The 24-inch barrel and 7.1-pound weight strike a practical balance between velocity and packability, making it equally at home on a long-range day at the range or packed into remote country where every ounce matters.
What sets the M21 apart is the collaboration between Nosler and Mack Brothers, the South Dakota action builders known for their precision rifle work. The result is a receiver and action that pulls together the proven features of their EVO platform with Nosler's own refinements—a foundation that works right out of the box without excuses. The wire EDM machining and nitride coating aren't marketing fluff; they're practical choices that deliver consistent, reliable function across seasons and conditions. Pair that with a TriggerTech trigger, Shilen match-grade stainless barrel, and McMillan carbon fiber stock, and you're looking at component quality that typically appears only on semi-custom builds.
The 27 Nosler cartridge deserves a rifle worthy of it. This is a Nosler-designed round built for velocity and energy retention at distance, and the M21's 1:8.5 twist and #3 barrel contour are optimized to handle it. Whether you're chasing elk at elevation, testing your long-range skills, or building a reliable hunting rifle that won't let you down, the M21 delivers precision and packable reliability without compromise.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Nosler M21 good for long-range hunting?
Yes. The 27 Nosler is a high-velocity cartridge designed for energy retention at distance, and the M21's match-grade barrel and TriggerTech trigger support that mission. The action is a collaboration with Mack Brothers, builders respected in precision rifle circles, so you're starting with a solid foundation for consistent accuracy.
How much does the M21 weigh and will it be manageable to carry?
At 7.1 pounds, the M21 is packable without compromising the velocity and barrel length needed for 27 Nosler performance. The carbon fiber stock keeps weight down while maintaining rigidity, making it practical for hunters who need to move through rough terrain.
What trigger does the M21 use?
The M21 is equipped with a TriggerTech trigger, known for a clean and predictable break—a premium component that contributes to the rifle's out-of-the-box accuracy.
Can I use this rifle for other calibers?
This M21 is chambered in 27 Nosler. Nosler offers the Model 21 platform in other calibers including Nosler's proprietary rounds and popular options like 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester, and 6.5 PRC, but this specific rifle is optimized for 27 Nosler.
