The Mossberg Patriot .450 Bushmaster bolt-action rifle brings hard-hitting power to medium-range hunting and range shooting in a straightforward, no-nonsense platform. This Model 28013 pairs the specialized .450 Bushmaster cartridge—known for its stopping authority on medium game and hog hunting—with a compact 20-inch barrel and lightweight synthetic stock. It's built for hunters and shooters who want a bolt gun that's quick to shoulder, easy to maneuver in thick cover, and reliable enough to trust when it matters.
The synthetic black stock resists weather and rough handling, making it equally at home in wet brush or slung over truck seats. At 6.5 pounds and 40.25 inches overall, the Patriot .450 is trim and fast-handling without feeling flimsy. The threaded barrel (11/16-24 TPI) opens the door to suppressors or muzzle devices, and the integrated Weaver-style bases give you a straightforward path to mounting optics—no gunsmith needed. The 1:24 twist is optimized for .450 Bushmaster projectiles, ensuring consistent accuracy out of the box.
With a fixed length of pull at 13.75 inches and a 3+1 capacity (4 rounds total), the Patriot loads fast and shoulders naturally for most shooters. The matte blue barrel finish is practical and low-profile, resisting glare and matching the understated design. This is a rifle that does what it promises: delivers .450 Bushmaster ballistics in a compact, controllable package without unnecessary bells or complications.

What optics mount to this rifle?
The Patriot comes drilled and tapped with Weaver-style bases, so it accepts any standard Weaver or Picatinny rail scope mount, laser, or dot sight without modification.
