The Mossberg 940 JM Pro 12-gauge semi-auto shotgun is purpose-built for competitive 3-gun and tactical clay events. This optic-ready platform combines speed-optimized features with the durability needed for high-round-count matches. The 24-inch vent-rib barrel and 4+1 capacity make it nimble enough for fast transitions without sacrificing load options, while the receiver is drilled, tapped, and cut to accept Shield RMSc-pattern micro red dots for low-profile, co-witnessed aiming.

Gas operation is the foundation here: Mossberg's clean-running gas vent system keeps the action cycling smoothly through high-volume competition. Internal parts are specially finished to resist carbon and fouling—essential when you're running dozens of shells per stage. The loading port elevator and follower are tuned for competition-speed reloads, and the quick-empty magazine release won't slow you down when you need to ditch empties fast. Four Briley choke tubes let you dial in the pattern for everything from buckshot to slugs.

Fit and control matter just as much as raw speed. The synthetic stock features an adjustable length of pull (13–14.25 inches) and drop system so you can dial in your sight picture and cheek weld. The forend and stock sport Mossberg's signature texturing for positive grip in wet conditions. The HIVIZ TriComp fiber-optic front sight is bright and fast on target. All told, you're looking at 7.75 pounds of competition-ready shotgun—light enough to mount quickly, heavy enough to stay planted when you need precision.

Whether you're running a local 3-gun match or training for the next level, the 940 JM Pro is engineered to help you shoot faster and reload cleaner than stock. This is a shotgun that rewards trigger work and rewards practice.
