The Magnum Research MLR 17HMR bolt-action rifle is built for shooters who demand accuracy and straightforward reliability. Chambered in the speedy and efficient 17HMR cartridge, this rifle pairs a manual straight bolt action with a 19-inch carbon barrel, making it an ideal choice for varmint hunting, target shooting, and small-game pursuits where precision and a lightweight platform matter. At 5.6 pounds, it's nimble enough for all-day hunting without fatigue, yet rigid enough to deliver the consistency that 17HMR shooters expect.

The Magnum Research design philosophy shows in the details. The Hogue black stock provides a comfortable, controllable grip and cheek weld, while the threaded barrel opens the door to suppressors, muzzle brakes, or other accessories tailored to your shooting style. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail on top accepts any modern optic and gives you plenty of elevation adjustment for longer-distance shooting—no need to hunt for rail space or fumble with spacers. With an overall length of 37.5 inches and a single 9-round magazine, you've got a compact, manageable setup that handles quick follow-ups without excessive bulk.

This is a rifle for the shooter who appreciates simplicity and proven function over marketing speak. The spring-assisted closing mechanism on the straight bolt keeps the action smooth and responsive, and the entire build reflects the engineering that earned Magnum Research its reputation in precision firearms. Whether you're zeroing in on distant crows, managing prairie dogs, or fine-tuning your marksmanship at the range, the MLR 17HMR delivers the accuracy and dependability you need.
