The Magnum Research Desert Eagle in .44 Magnum is the iconic hand-cannon that's defined large-bore pistol shooting for decades. This 6-inch barrel model delivers the stopping power and commanding presence that serious pistol enthusiasts and hunters demand. Built on a gas-operated rotating bolt semiautomatic platform, the Desert Eagle combines raw power with genuine usability—whether you're shooting at the range, hunting, or simply experiencing one of firearms' most legendary designs.

The tungsten Cerakote finish on this Desert Eagle provides a professional dark graphite grey appearance while offering corrosion resistance that matches the gun's no-nonsense personality. The full Weaver-style accessory rail lets you mount optics, lights, or other accessories without modification. Combat-type fixed sights come standard, so you're ready to shoot out of the box, with an 8.5-inch sight radius that supports accurate shooting at distance.

At 4 lbs 6.6 oz empty, this .44 Magnum commands respect on the bench and in hand. The single-action trigger breaks at approximately 4 pounds, while the 2.75-inch trigger reach accommodates most shooters comfortably. Eight rounds of .44 Magnum in the magazine means you've got serious firepower—a caliber known for its raw velocity, energy, and legendary reputation. The polygonal rifling (six lands and grooves, 1:18" twist) is engineered to stabilize heavy .44 Magnum loads reliably.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Desert Eagle different from a standard .44 Magnum revolver?

The Desert Eagle is a semiautomatic pistol, not a revolver. Its gas-operated rotating bolt design manages the substantial recoil of .44 Magnum rounds, allowing rapid follow-up shots and an 8-round magazine capacity. The design is fundamentally different from traditional .44 revolvers and delivers a unique shooting experience.

Can I mount optics on this Desert Eagle?

Yes. The Desert Eagle features a full Weaver-style accessory rail, which allows you to mount optics, red dots, and other tactical accessories without modification.

What's included with the pistol?

We include the pistol with its factory sights and one 8-round magazine. It arrives in tungsten Cerakote finish, ready to use.

Is this Desert Eagle suitable for hunting?

The .44 Magnum caliber and 6-inch barrel make this capable as a hunting sidearm, though specific hunting applications depend on local regulations and game. The fixed sights, sight radius, and manageable trigger pull support accurate shooting at reasonable hunting distances.
