Precision neck sizing starts with the right bushing, and the L.E. Wilson Neck Sizing Die Bushing 288 is built for handloaders who demand consistency shot to shot. This hardened stainless steel bushing is engineered to work with L.E. Wilson neck sizing dies, giving you the fine control over neck tension that factory ammunition simply can't match. Whether you're fine-tuning loads for a match rifle or working with brass that's begun to harden after multiple reloads, Wilson's .001" increment sizing lets you dial in the exact neck fit your cartridge needs.

Wilson manufactures these bushings with precision in mind: each is reamed with a .003" taper, and the marked size represents the middle of the bushing where your case neck actually contacts the die. This design gives you an option most reloaders don't realize they have—flip the bushing so the markings face downward (toward the case), and you'll achieve a slightly tighter sizing action without dropping to the next smaller bushing size. It's a practical workaround when brass has hardened and lost its grip on the bullet, or when you need to fine-tune neck tension for better accuracy without jumping a full .001" increment.

Wilson bushings are manufactured to similar specifications as Redding neck bushings, but they're not compatible with Forster or RCBS dies—make sure your die is a Wilson before ordering. If you're new to bushing selection, Wilson provides two proven methods: measure your loaded cartridge's neck diameter and subtract .002" to .003" to account for spring-back, or calculate based on your case neck wall thickness and bullet diameter. Either way, you'll get the repeatable neck tension that separates good handloads from great ones.
