The Keystone Sporting Arms Crickett .22LR Muddy Girl Hydrodipped Synthetic Youth Rifle is a purpose-built first rifle designed to introduce young shooters to safe, accurate marksmanship. Built in the USA and refined over two decades as a dedicated youth rifle platform, the Crickett delivers everything a beginner needs: a reliable manual-cocking single-shot bolt action, honest sights, and the confidence that comes from a rifle engineered specifically for smaller frames and shorter reach.

The Muddy Girl hydrodipped synthetic finish gives this rifle a modern look that appeals to young hunters and shooters, while the robust all-American construction handles real use. At under 3 pounds with an 11½-inch length of pull, it fits young shooters comfortably—short enough to handle easily, light enough that recoil and fatigue don't slow down the learning process. The adjustable rear peep sight and fixed front post deliver the kind of precision that teaches proper fundamentals, and the single-shot design keeps the focus on one deliberate shot at a time.

Safety is built in: a rebounding firing pin design automatically blocks the hammer to prevent accidental discharge, even if the trigger is bumped. Every rifle ships with a standard trigger lock for secure storage, plus ear and eye protection so a young shooter can head to the range immediately. The Crickett accepts .22 S, L, and LR ammunition—inexpensive, low-recoil, and forgiving, making it ideal for building accuracy and confidence without flinching or frustration.

This is the rifle that starts shooters right: safe, American-made, built for small hands, and backed by a lifetime warranty. Whether your kid is stepping up to their first rifle, you're introducing a younger family member to the sport, or you're coaching a young hunter, the Crickett .22LR does one job exceptionally well.
