Kel-Tec RDB 5.56x45mm Bullpup Rifle - Green (RDB20GRN)
- Caliber-Gauge:
- 223 Remington / 5.56 NATO
- Finish-Color:
- Green
The Kel-Tec RDB 5.56x45mm bullpup rifle in green is a tactical-minded alternative to conventional long guns, built around a design that solves one of the old bullpup compromises: case ejection. Instead of the sideways ejection that can interfere with your sight picture or bite left-handed shooters, the RDB kicks shells straight down and out of your way. That means you get true ambidextrous handling without the typical trade-offs, making it a solid choice if you're drawn to the compact bullpup form factor but tired of working around its usual quirks.
At 30.6 inches overall with a 20-inch barrel, the RDB delivers a genuinely short package—lighter on your hands than a traditional rifle but without the barrel-length penalty that smaller platforms often impose. Weighing 7.1 pounds unloaded, it's nimble enough for maneuvering in tight spaces or from a vehicle, yet stable enough for accurate work at distance. The 1:7-inch twist is speced to stabilize a broad range of 5.56/.223 loads, so you're not locked into boutique ammo. The rifle accepts standard AR15 magazines in either 20-round capacity or anything else that fits the platform, giving you flexibility when you're building out your magazine collection.
The Kel-Tec RDB is engineered around modularity and user adjustment—it's a rifle that meets you where you are rather than forcing you to adapt to it. Whether you're splitting time between the range, hunting smaller game, or simply want a modern defensive rifle that doesn't hog closet space, the downward ejection system and ambidextrous controls justify a hard look if you've dismissed bullpups in the past.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this rifle as a left-handed shooter?
Yes. The Kel-Tec RDB is designed to be truly ambidextrous, and its downward shell ejection system means you won't deal with the case deflection or impact issues that make many bullpups uncomfortable for southpaws.
What magazines does the RDB accept?
The RDB is compatible with standard AR15 magazines. It ships with 20-round magazine capacity, but accepts any AR15-compatible magazine, giving you broad compatibility with common modern rifle magazines.
What ammunition can I safely feed through this rifle?
The 1:7-inch twist rate is engineered to handle a wide range of 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington ammunition, so you're not limited to a narrow band of loads. As always, consult the manual and start with ammunition from reputable manufacturers.
Is the RDB compact enough for vehicle storage or tight quarters?
At 30.6 inches overall length and 7.1 pounds, the RDB is noticeably more compact than a standard rifle while retaining a full 20-inch barrel, making it well-suited for vehicles, home defense positioning, or situations where space is limited.
