The Kahr Premium Series MK9 9mm pistol is a purpose-built compact carry gun for shooters who prioritize concealability without sacrificing reliability. The Model M9093N delivers the mechanical integrity Kahr is known for—trigger-cocking double-action-only operation, a locked-breech design with Browning-type recoil lug, and a passive striker block—in a slim, lightweight package that rides comfortably inside the waistband or pocket. At just 5.3 inches long and 22.1 ounces unloaded, this matte stainless steel 9mm works equally well for everyday carry, off-duty backup, or home defense.

What sets the MK9 apart in the compact 9mm category is its no-nonsense engineering. The trigger-cocking design means there's no separate safety lever to fumble under stress—just a consistent, predictable trigger press every single time. The 3-inch barrel features polygonal rifling with a 1-10 right-hand twist, optimized for modern 9mm rounds. The slide's .90-inch width keeps the gun slim in your hand and slimmer still in your holster. Kahr includes two magazines: a 6-round flush-floor model that matches the gun's profile, and a 7-round extended magazine with grip extension for those who prefer a slightly longer grip purchase without significantly compromising concealability.

The matte stainless finish resists corrosion and won't snag a holster draw. Wraparound textured hard nylon grips provide confidence in your firing grip whether you're wearing gloves or shooting in wet conditions. The tritium night sights are drift-adjustable, so you can zero them to your preferred point of aim. This is a serious tool for serious users—no frills, just a compact 9mm that's been refined through years of real-world carry and shooting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Kahr MK9 suitable for concealed carry?

Yes. At 5.3 inches long, 4.0 inches tall, and .90 inches wide with a weight of just 22.1 ounces, the MK9 is designed for discreet carry inside or outside the waistband. The slim profile and light weight make it easy to carry all day without printing or fatigue.

What do the two magazines do differently?

The MK9 ships with a 6-round magazine with a flush floorplate that maintains the gun's compact profile, and a 7-round magazine with an extended grip. The extended grip magazine adds one round of capacity and gives your pinky finger a place to rest, improving control and ergonomics during shooting without dramatically increasing the gun's footprint.

Does this pistol have a manual safety?

No. The MK9 uses trigger-cocking double-action-only operation with no external safety lever. Instead, it relies on a passive striker block and the trigger itself as the primary safety mechanism. Every shot requires a deliberate trigger press, and there is no separate safety to disengage.

Can I adjust the night sights?

Yes. The tritium night sights are drift-adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune windage and elevation to zero the pistol to your preferred point of aim.
