The Heritage Rough Rider 6.5" .22 LR revolver is a single-action rimfire that brings classic wheelgun handling to shooters who want an affordable, fun option for plinking, small-game hunting, and learning revolver fundamentals. With its color case hardened finish and cocobolo grips, this Model RR22999CH6 delivers Old West aesthetics without breaking the bank — ideal for anyone looking to add a reliable .22 revolver to the safe or introduce a new shooter to handgun mechanics.

Chambered in .22 LR, the Rough Rider's rimfire cartridge makes it gentle on the shoulder and wallet, perfect for extended range sessions or varmint work where precision and low recoil matter. The 6.5" barrel provides a longer sight radius than compact revolvers, helping newer shooters develop better sight picture and trigger control. Nine-round capacity means fewer reloads and more time behind the gun — a practical advantage over traditional six-shooters when you're running drills or working through a box of ammunition.

Built on an aluminum alloy frame with color case hardened treatment, the Rough Rider combines period-correct styling with modern manufacturing efficiency. Fixed sights keep things simple and reliable; there's nothing to dial or zero unnecessarily. Cocobolo grips provide natural ergonomics and add visual warmth to the revolver's profile. Single-action operation rewards smooth, deliberate trigger work and teaches proper fundamentals without the complexity of a double-action trigger.

Whether you're building your revolver collection, looking for a dedicated .22 trainer, or planning a day of casual shooting with friends, the Heritage Rough Rider delivers honest, unpretentious rimfire fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Heritage Rough Rider good for beginners learning revolver basics?

Yes. The single-action operation, fixed sights, and mild .22 LR recoil make it excellent for learning fundamental gun handling, trigger control, and sight picture without intimidation or expense. The 9-round capacity lets newer shooters practice more without frequent reloads.

Can I use this revolver for small-game hunting or varmint control?

The .22 LR chambering and 6.5" barrel make the Rough Rider suitable for hunting small game like rabbits and squirrels, or controlling pests at close range. Performance depends on shot placement and distance; consult local hunting regulations before use.
