The Heritage Rough Rider revolver in .22/.22 Magnum is a budget-friendly rimfire single-action that delivers the fun and reliability of classic revolver shooting without breaking the bank. Built on an alloy steel frame with a 4.75" barrel, this 6-round wheelgun handles everything from casual plinking and target practice to small-game hunting and varmint control. The combo cylinder setup lets you swap between .22 LR and .22 WMR ammunition, giving you flexibility for different distances and game without buying a second gun.

The Rough Rider's single-action trigger and fixed front sight with rear notch give it honest, straightforward handling. At just over 33 ounces unloaded and 10 inches overall, it's lightweight enough for extended range sessions and portable enough to toss in a pack for backyard plinking or farm work. The black/satin finish and poly star grips are understated and practical — no unnecessary frills, just a handgun built to shoot.

This is the .22 LR / .22 WMR combo version, so you get both cylinders in the box. The manual safety keeps the gun secure when you're handling it. Whether you're introducing a new shooter to single-action revolvers, setting up a low-cost practice platform, or just looking for a reliable rimfire revolver for casual use, the Heritage Rough Rider delivers proven single-action simplicity at a price point that won't empty your wallet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included with the two-cylinder combo?

This model ships with both a .22 LR cylinder and a .22 WMR cylinder so you can use either cartridge type. Simply remove one cylinder and swap in the other when you want to change caliber.

Is this revolver good for a beginner?

The Rough Rider's straightforward single-action design, light recoil, and affordable ammunition make it an excellent choice for introducing new shooters to revolver operation. The simple manual safety is easy to understand, and the fixed sights are reliable and intuitive.

What's this revolver suitable for?

With its dual-caliber capability and 4.75" barrel, the Rough Rider works well for backyard plinking, target practice, small-game hunting, varmint control, and general recreational shooting. The .22 WMR cylinder extends range and energy for hunting applications, while .22 LR keeps costs low for practice.

How does the single-action trigger work?

On a single-action revolver like the Rough Rider, you manually cock the hammer with your thumb before each shot, then press the trigger to release it and fire. This deliberate process appeals to shooters who value precision and control.
